VISIT GLEN ELLEN
We are located in a charming and friendly hamlet of about 1,500 people. Most folks know one another and just about anyone can tell you how to get to our Glen Ellen winery. Our town is quaint, but there is plenty to do and see-after you've visited Benziger Family Winery, of course!

Jack London State Park
707-938-5216
The park is home to author Jack London's last abode-the partially complete Wolf House. Jack London manuscripts and memorabilia are on display at the visitor center. The park, which is open daily, offers picnicking, hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding. The park is only a half-mile from Benziger Winery, creating an inviting spot to picnic with a bottle of wine from Benziger.

Jack London Lodge Saloon
707-996-3100
The quintessential small town watering hole, Jack London Lodge Saloon is located in the heart of Glen Ellen. Filled with Jack London artifacts, this is a great place to meet the locals. You'll be on a first name basis by the time you leave.

Bouverie Audubon Preserve
707-938-4554
Known for its amazing spring wildflowers, the Bouverie Preserve is home to a rich and distinct combination of plants and animals. Access to the Preserve is by appointment only.

The Olive Press
707-939-8900
Open to the public, this state-of-the-art custom pressing facility gives visitors a glimpse of olive pressing in action (October through November). Enjoy complimentary tastings and explore the gallery, gift shop and garden.

For Dog Lovers
The Glen Ellen Dog Park, located at the Regional Park on Hwy 12 in Glen Ellen, provides a fully fenced playground for dogs. There are large areas for running and playing and shaded spots with picnic tables for resting and visiting. Water and pooper-scoopers are provided and the small entrance fee goes to maintain the park.

For Joggers
There are plenty of great places for impromptu runs in and around Glen Ellen. For the not-so-serious runner looking to work off the food and wine, there is the Regional Park with access from both Hwy 12 and Arnold Drive. A paved path winds from one side of this wooded park to the other. The run is three miles roundtrip.
Those looking for more distance may want to try the Henno Loop. Starting at Arnold Drive and Warm Springs, head up Warm Springs about a half-block and turn right onto Henno Road. Keep going and always veer to your right. Eventually (after about three miles), you'll come back out onto Arnold Drive about a half-mile from where you started. This run is mostly shaded in the morning.

For a serious run, start at the base of London Ranch Road and run three-quarters of a mile uphill (steep!) to Jack London Park, where you can continue your run as far as your legs will take you. There is a good chance you'll run into Mike Benziger in the park. But look out-he's a kamikaze mountain biker!
